DIVAs Giving Circle
The Donors inVesting in the Arts (DIVAs) Giving Circle is a group of Montgomery County women who pool their charitable dollars, making grants that enable at-risk youth in Montgomery County to have life-changing experiences through the arts.
In 2006, the DIVAs established the "Rising Star" Award to encourage middle school students demonstrating talent and a passion for the arts. Last year, the group supported innovative nonprofits that incorporate the arts into programs which promote academic achievement for at-risk youth.
For the 2008 summer, the DIVAs developed a special grant to support art-based summer activities for individual Montgomery County youth dealing with significant life struggles.
