The majority of our donor services are customized to your particular interests and style; however, we also provide a wide range of learning opportunities and publications to help you make informed giving choices.

Quarterly Financial Reporting
You will receive a quarterly financial report on the investment returns and grantmaking activity of your fund. We maintain a complete history of your grantmaking in the Foundation’s comprehensive database and a hard copy of this history in your file. By managing the accounting and record-keeping for your fund, this relieves you of administrative tasks and reporting to the IRS.
Provide an opportunity to share best practices in philanthropy, examine trends, look at what local nonprofits are doing to address regional issues, and explore funding opportunities. They also provide you with a forum for networking with other donors who share your interests.

The Community Foundation verifies all grant distributions through a due diligence process to ensure the recommended nonprofit is registered as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Donor Recognition or Anonymity
When gifts are made to organizations through your fund at The Community Foundation for Montgomery County, an award letter is sent to the nonprofit which gives recognition for your gift. However, if you wish to remain anonymous you can do so, and The Community Foundation can ensure that your identity is kept confidential.
